I have great memories of Stockholm.

The first time I visited the Swedish capital, I walked from the train station - in the middle of the winter night and with a layer of snow on the sidewalks that almost reached my knees - to my hostel. During the next day I visited parts of the city, before leaving for the north of Sweden.

On the second occasion, I shared laughs, drinks, visits and football with my best friends from Dublin. We went to see a Spain vs Sweden in the qualifying phase for Euro 2008. The Red lost 2-0, but we won by a win.

Stockholm is an orderly, cosmopolitan and charming city in almost any season of the year. It is true that it is more pleasant to visit it in spring or summer, but the beauty it possesses when snow covers it in winter is difficult to match.

You will need at least 3 days to fully enjoy Stockholm, but in case you don't have them and you want to travel, in the time you have, the Best things to see in Stockholm, here I leave you this subjective list:

1Vasa Museum

Nowhere else in the world can you get into an almost completely original 17th-century ship (95% of it).

Decorated with hundreds of sculptures, The Vasa is a 69-meter-long warship that sank on its maiden voyage in the middle of Stockholm Bay. It was the year 1628 and would not be recovered from the depths until 1961.

After the rescue, for almost 50 years a team of restaurateurs worked on it to return its past greatness. The result is one of the best attractions to see in Stockholm.

The Vasa Museum is the most requested in all Scandinavia, with more than one million visitors a year. In it you can learn about life on board the ship, naval secrets and the history of the time.
