Reading the guestbook at the Pleamar Hotel (c) joseramongarcia.es
Why don't you dare to publish in a blog the dedications that your clients leave in your hotel's guestbook?
This is the recommendation I made to Mila, owner of the Pleamar hotel, in the town of Ship in Asturias. It was the last day I was staying at the hotel and, before I left, I began to read the comments of his clients in his guestbook. Observing the tenderness and imagination provided by the words that his former clients left in his book, I wanted to stay one more night in the hotel.
The Pleamar Hotel is located in Vega Harbor, a beautiful seaport on the western coast of Asturias.
The hotel is camouflaged on the same grounds that betray the people. You will notice that the colors and details inside bring us closer to a sailor's decor. The same rooms are named after fish and even a small note of welcome in the room written by hand welcomes us:
Under a somewhat strange labyrinthine structure, the hotel can confuse more than one with its different entrance and exit doors, levels and stairs.
The sea is the main protagonist of the hotel and inside you will see replicas of boats, paintings and nets. The navy blue chairs the costumes of the three girls who work in the hotel and even in the gastronomy you can see sailor details such as the shape of some cookies and the cups of coffee for breakfast.
